Breakfast Burgers. Flavorful sausage patties, crispy bacon, a fresh egg, and veggies on a toasted english muffin.
People seem to enjoy arguing over whether or not breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and though the jury is still out on that argument, I’d argue any day that it’s the best meal of the day!
I’m always looking for an excuse to eat breakfast for dinner and these burgers are the perfect excuse for that. They also make a wonderful addition to a brunch spread or can be made ahead, frozen, and reheated for an on the go breakfast sandwich!
With this recipe I encourage you to take some liberties and adjust the toppings to your liking.
- I used a traditional wheat english muffin but feel free to use a flavored version, bagels, or bagel thins.
- I used farm fresh Golliher Farms sausage patties but you can sub any brand you like and use beef or turkey instead of pork.
- I added a fried egg on top but you could do poached or scrambled. I added lettuce and tomato but you could add arugula, onion, mustard, or any of your other favorite condiments.
Moral of the story, feel free to tweak to your heart’s desire!
So whether you’re a brunch fiend or looking for something different to add to your dinner routine, this recipe is the burger of your dreams!
