Double Chocolate Protein Bars. Homemade, healthy protein bars that are vegan, gluten free, nut free, and dairy free.
If you know me, you know I LOVE a good protein bar. But unfortunately, most of them are just glorified candy bars and the ones that are actually good for you are super expensive. SO, I just take matters into my own hands and make them myself!
At first making your own bars might seem tedious, but it actually is a breeze. This recipe requires just one bowl, a short time in the freezer, and voilà! A delicious batch of homemade, all natural protein bars!
These Double Chocolate Protein Bars are great because they are low sugar without the addition of any sugar substitutes or sugar alcohols. I tend to avoid those because of all the negative digestive effects they can have.
Furthermore, these bars are friendly to most food allergies so they’ll be perfect for everyone! So next time you get an insatiable cookie craving, indulge it with these Double Chocolate Protein Bars!
These are one of my all time favorite bar recipes! They taste better than any store bought cookie dough bars and can be made in large batches ahead because they are stored in the freezer! And no need to worry about thawing for a long period of time, these can be enjoyed basically immediately after taking out of the freezer or just 5 or so minutes of thaw time if you prefer.

- Place shaped dough into freezer for 15-20 minutes or until firm, but not totally set.
- Slice the firm dough into 4 bars. Wrap bars in plastic wrap, bags, or store in an airtight container. Keep frozen and thaw just slightly before enjoying!
