Easy to make, macro friendly, gluten free, and vegan homemade protein bars!
I eat protein bars A LOT. Like – I have a whole shelf in my pantry dedicated to them. They are extremely convenient, macro friendly, and always satisfy my sweet tooth. But their biggest downside? They, Ain’t. Cheap.
So if you’re also tired of protein bars taking a bite out of your wallet, try making them at home! They are so quick and easy to make and the recipe only requires one bowl! (Because who has time for dishes?)
Another benefit of these bars is that they are gluten free, dairy free, and vegan! So no more squinting at ingredient labels for all my friends with food allergies and sensitivities.
And if I haven’t already convinced you of their amazingness, I’ll leave you with two words: PEANUT BUTTER
Ok end of story – enjoy these bars and thank me later! 🙂

Servings |
|
- 1/2 cup (126 g) natural peanut butter*
- 1/2 cup (40 g) vanilla protein powder
- 2 tbsp (30 ml) unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tbsp (20 g) honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp (8 g) coconut flour
Ingredients

- Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl
- On a clean surface, press dough into a rectangle. My rectangle was about 6-7 inches long, 4 inches in width, and 1 cm thick (but feel free to adjust size to preference)
- Slice rectangle into 6 bars.
- Wrap/bag bars individually and place in refrigerator for an hour to firm up. Keep stored in refrigerator or freezer. (I really enjoy them frozen and slightly thawed!)
*It is best if the peanut butter is runny for this recipe. If yours is not naturally runny, melt it.
