Healthy Protein Caffè Mocha. An easy to make, no sugar added coffee drink that tastes just as good as the coffee shop!
This winter in the Midwest has been extremely cold, dark, and seemingly long leaving me chilled to the bone some days. And the only thing that can bring me back from that frosty state is a hot beverage that can warm me up inside to out.
Since I’m probably the most boring coffee person ever and like the darkest roast possible and drink it black (yup, I’m that person) I’ve been experimenting around with different hot drinks!
So in trying to branch out a little bit, I brewed up this Healthy Protein Caffè Mocha! It’s just like your local coffee shop treat, but without the added sugars and fats. And trust me, this is sooo tasty you won’t miss them!
I use a blender bottle for this recipe to make it so that there are no protein powder chunks left in the drink. If you don’t have one, they are super cheap online or you can use a blender instead.

- 2 tbsp (12 g) chocolate protein powder
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) water
- 3/4 cup (178 mL) brewed hot coffee
Ingredients

- In a blender bottle (or blender if you don't have a bottle), combine protein powder and water until there are no clumps.
- Pour mixture into a mug along with the brewed coffee. Stir gently and enjoy!
