Chocolate Almond Protein Bars. Homemade, healthy protein bars that are vegan, gluten free, and dairy free.
I’ve become kinda obsessed with making my own protein bars lightly. I loooove being able to mess around with different flavors, adjust them to my nutrition and preferences, and most of all – save some money!
Another bonus of this DIY protein bar craze for me is that I ALWAYS have sweet treats on hand lately. Seriously – all of the bar recipes I’ve created so far taste like dessert!

- 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp (70 g) chocolate protein powder
- 3 tbsp (21 g) coconut flour
- 1/4 cup (56 g) tahini
- 1/2 tbsp (10 g) liquid sweetener
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tsp almond extract
- 1 tbsp (7 g) chopped almonds
Ingredients

- In a large bowl, stir together the protein powder, coconut flour, tahini, honey, and almond milk until thoroughly mixed. Fold in the sliced almonds.
- On a piece of parchment or wax paper, shape the dough into a rectangle. Feel free to adjust rectangle to size preference, mine was about 7 by 4.5 inches.
- Place shaped dough into freezer for 15-20 minutes or until firm, but not totally set.
- Slice the firm dough into 4 bars. Wrap bars in plastic wrap, bags, or store in an airtight container. Keep frozen and thaw just slightly before enjoying!
