  1. (This step of toasting the cashews is optional but I believe it results in a more flavorful nut butter.) Place cashews in a skillet over medium heat. Toast for a few minutes, stirring occasionally until fragrant and slightly golden.
  2. Remove cashews from skillet and place them in a food processor or blender. Process until it reaches a smooth and creamy texture. Blend longer for a runnier texture, less for crunchy. Stop processor and scrape the sides of the bowl down as needed throughout. The length of time this takes will vary based on the quality and power of your food processor/blender, so just be patient! 🙂
  3. Store cashew butter in an airtight container or jar in the refrigerator.
